Female Children’s Development Worker

Salary: £20,253.00 – £22,212.00
Roshni offers safe, temporary accommodation along with a range of community based support services to South Asian women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse.
We are seeking a passionate, creative and experienced individual to deliver our children’s service. Applicants must have a commitment to equality and diversity and speak at least one South Asian language.
Working with children and young people aged 0-18, this role requires an ability to design and deliver creative and engaging activities including homework clubs, weekend play sessions and activities during school holidays.
You will identify the support needs of every child and young person that comes into service and work with support workers, voluntary and statutory providers to ensure their needs are met. You will create and maintain close working relationships with external providers to increase and improve experiences, opportunities and potential to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.
You will have experience of working in a childcare setting in a specialist, social care or similar environment. An NNEB Diploma/BTEC in Nursery nursing/NVQ3/CQS is essential. You must be well organised and have a professional and flexible approach to your work along with a calm and reassuring manner.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week with the post holder participating in an out of hour’s on-call service. There is an expectation that the post holder will be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the children’s service, including evenings and weekends.
